Gaining muscular bodyweight

Being a Personal Trainer allot of guys ask me how to get bigger muscles, how to to get buff.

They ask me how long I train for a week and say something like - I want arms like yours. When I tell them what I do and what training they should do they look at me like I am nuts.

Lifting weights is the easy part for someone like me (and most of the people who ask me advice), eating enough food to actually grow is the really hard part.

I don’t have a big appetite, I eat many times throughout the day and generally find it a task to total more than 2 - 2500 calories per day - I am 6`2″ and just over 14 stone. For me to continually add muscle and strength I have to consume circa 5000 calories per day at a minimum.

That is hard work for me, I feel full all day and have to chug down litres of milk just to break even on the energy needs of muscle growth.

Most guys are in chase of big muscles but refuse to eat big to get there for fear of losing a skinny ass six pack they barely have.

My message to you who want to be buff;

Eat more. Lose the girlie worry about body fat, man up and eat a cow or two.
