My own training has been less than great over the past few months for a number of reasons.
One of which is that I have been working lighter intensities with unfamiliar movements for fun and to allow my body to heal from aches and pains.
Whilst I have have not lost much if any size or fitness from that, I have lost significant barbell specific strength from a combination of mental and skill strength.
As is shown by my less than impressive deadlift numbers but trust me, they felt heavy!
Basics are the foundation of our abilities, build them well and build them deep.
It’s time for me to address the weakness in my foundations and return to some basic lifting.
